Goddess Weekend 2009

I have just returned from the most wonderful weekend away with amazing friends! I feel re-energised, relaxed and absolutely great! Every year there are about 10 of us close friends who spend the weekend in a beautiful little place called The Old Church in Byron Bay. We call it our annual “Goddess Weekend” and it is something that we all love and look forward to because it is our opportunity to get away from it all and pamper ourselves as true goddesses should.

The Old Church is an amazingly beautiful historic place with so much character and charm. We absolutely love going there year after year.

We spend the entire weekend in our pyjamas – just talking, relaxing, having massages, reading tarot cards, having great food and great wine and just enjoying each other's company. It is a very spiritual and wonderful experience each and every year. Sometimes we can get a bit crazy, although I can’t reveal too much as what happens on Goddess Weekend stays between those walls ;-)

This year commemorated our 5th annual Goddess Weekend, so to celebrate we planted a plaque in the beautiful gardens of the church and conducted a little ceremony to mark the occasion. We each lit a candle from one another and placed it under the plaque, then sprinkled it with holy vodka.


I feel so incredibly lucky to be part of this wonderful group of Goddesses! All the women are strong, independent, intelligent, inspiring and amazing women. Can't wait for the next Goddess Weekend!
