Chapter 28 - The Last Supper...

Well, the time has come... Time to say goodbye to Iceland and Birna. I fly out tomorrow. I have been here 5 months and have had such an amazing experience! I found it hard to adjust at times... to the language, the expenses and being away from loved ones... but of course that was to be expected. The good thing is that the positives outweighed the negatives. I truly treasure the time I got to spend with Birna... we shared so much together and we really got to know each other on a deeper level and developed a very special bond. Everything I wanted in a partner... I found in Birna. After practically spending 24/7 together for the last 5 months, I have grown to love her with all my heart and I really can´t imagine my life without her. We will figure out a way to make this work as it is what we both want... and there are no problems, only solutions!

Things I´m going to miss are:
1. Birna
2. Birna
3. Birna
4. Birna´s wonderful family and friends. Her parents are such beautiful people... and they said that they consider me as part of their family now
5. This beautiful country... The raw, wild, unique, untamed nature
6. No bugs, spiders or cockroaches!!!
7. The long summer days and the midnight sun
8. Birna
9. Hiking and being in the great outdoors
10. Going on motorbike rides at the back of Birna´s bike
11. Spooning each other to sleep
12. Birna
13. Eating out at our favourite places... American Style and Energia
14. Birna saying “oops, I missed the turn” when driving (she can´t do two things at once, so when she talks whilst driving, she usually misses the exits!)
15. Birna
16. “Nammi” - icelandic term for chocolate and lollies... mmmmmm! Birna can´t believe how much chocolate I eat :-). She says that my eyes light up at the sight of “nammi” and that she wishes she could make me as happy as nammi does! Haha
17. Snuggling up on the couch with Birna watching movies, Little Britain, Will & Grace and The L Word
18. Birna
19. Birna
20. Birna

So I guess this is goodbye and farewell from Iceland for now. Thanks for travelling with me on my adventures in Iceland. I will keep blogging... so I hope you can continue on this journey with me and keep following the modern day love story of “Juliet and Juliet.” You will discover the answer to the burning question on everyone´s lips... “where to next for Birna and Iri...?” So stay tuned and look out for a re-vamped blogsite... coming soon!
